Notes for drivers in winter (roughly mid-November to end of March)

- Use lights also during the day (standard in Sweden; many cars use DRL/low beam).
Northern lights (Aurora Borealis)
- Season: roughly mid-September to March/April; often best around the equinoxes (Sept/Mar).
- Conditions: clear, dark nights, low light pollution, view to the north.
- Note: no guarantee – activity varies; short-term forecasts/apps can help.
